Favorite Workout of January

One of the big problems I have when trying to work out is that repetition gets boring. I personally hate running (which is ironic because I love doing "races"), especially running on a treadmill. The workouts I tend to go for are pilates/dance based workouts for a great workout that's not boring. To fulfill one of my New Year's Resolutions I have been finding workouts on YouTube that don't bore me.

This led me to Danielle Peazer. Peazer is a professional dancer who has worked with artists like Katy Perry and James Morrison, as well as performing during the London Olympics in 2012 and with Olly Murrs at the BRIT Awards. She's also going through training for personal training because she's starting Danielle Peazer Method which is honestly, inspiring.

This workout that has been my go to since it was uploaded earlier in January. It's based on moves Beyonce does to stay fit so if its good enough for Beyonce its good enough for me.  Even with its repetition, it doesn't FEEL repetitive. Which is a big thing for those of us who have to put a film on to run on the treadmill, which is probably just me, tbh.

The first time I did it I had to take a few minutes break in between sets, but now I notice myself setting an interval timer and being able to follow 45 seconds on and 15 off for 4 rounds. Personally, this is a big deal for me. I feel stronger after doing this for a few weeks and it feels good.

Welcome to 2018!

Hi,

Welcome to my blog. I am a travel obsessed, Disney loving, 23-year-old.

I also want to get fit (but who doesn't, right?) but, I have trouble sticking to a goal if I'm going it alone (again, who doesn't?). So now you get to be my accountability buddy! Thanks for this, friends.

Along with the normal health blog stuff (recipes, updates, workouts, etc.), you'll also get beauty favorites and introspection.

Let's start it off easy though with a stereotypical "New Year's Resolutions" post.
